RULE CHANGES - All proposals for changes to the league and competition formats - ALL APPROVED BY DELEGATES - copies of both league and competition rules updated at the AGM, can be viewed above - "About Us / Documents".
PRESENTATION NIGHTS! - There will be 2 this season - details to follow at a later date!
COMBINED FEES £104 - a major proposal to COMBINE league and competition fees to £104 per TEAM for the 2018-19 season - APPROVED!
After a healthy debate, A SHOW OF HANDS VOTE WENT 44 IN FAVOUR / 22 NOT IN FAVOUR. After one delegate questioned a first vote (which went 44 Yes / 21 No), the show of hands occurred again!
THE COMBINED FEE OF £104 PER TEAM WILL BE EFFECTIVE FROM THE NEXT 2018-19 SEASON!
For this current 2017-18 season, league fees have already been paid, so COMPETITION FEES will still be collected separately as before. HOWEVER, THERE WILL BE NO DELGATE MEETINGS THIS SEASON TO PAY THEM AT!
PAYMENT - will be encouraged in all cases by BANK TRANSFER - see competitions tab!

Due to a fixture clash between Tinshill's C and D teams i have had to adjust some fixtures in the D division please check your fixtures for the first week and the rest of the season.

A reminder that registration for the above one day competition closes at 6 o,clock next Friday (8th) .
There are currently 35 Entries which means a guaranteed £150 1st prize and over £400 in total prize money.

The website is now showing fixtures for the new season with the first fixtures being week commencing 6/9/2017 pleae check all details are correct including checking your login details work in order to submitt results.

A VERY IMPORTANT PROPOSAL: will also be determined, to 1) reduce Delegate Meetings to a minimum and 2) COMBINE league and competition fees as a result, details of which have already been sent to ALL delegates / captains for next season.
PLEASE LOOK in your inboxes and spam emails. A further summary of the points to be made at the AGM and how it will be determined, will be circulated again after the 30th August and before the meeting.

LBSO are pleased to announce the third one day competition of the summer to be played on Sunday 10th September at the NSC.
This time it's a Pairs handicap played over best of 3 frames with a one frame plate competition for first round losers.
Entry is £10 per pair. All entry fees will go towards the prize fund with additional prize money added courtesy of "Litetask" ( thanks to Mark Pears of Barnbow Social).

A final call to remind you about the annual Presentation Evening, this year at Harehills Labour Club (LS9 7BX), this Wednesday 19th July.
A full list of PRIZE WINNERS and the order of presentation, can now be viewed via the above "About Us / Documents" tab of the website. Copies have also been circulated to delegates / captains who have given their email addresses on league registration forms.

The event will be held in the concert room of the club, access available from 7pm.
As usual, a short presentation for about 1/2 an hour will start with the juniors at approx. 8/8-15pm.
PLEASE NOTE - ALL U.18's MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES ON THE NIGHT!
After a break for entertainment, the main presentation will then start at approx. 9-15/9-30pm.

IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE AS MANY CLUBS AS POSSIBLE ATTEND, NOT JUST THOSE WITH SOMETHING TO COLLECT! THERE IS PLENTY OF SPACE IN WHAT IS A BIG ROOM TO FILL!

AN IMPORTANT NOTICE - about the AGM on 4th September 2017, will also be handed out on Wednesday, which can be viewed now on the same tab as the prize winners!

A field of 29 ( unfortunately 3 players failed to turn up on the day from the original entry of 32) contested the LBSO sponsored 6 Reds Handicap and it was Adam Rennison (Harehills Labour) who emerged as the winner, beating clubmate Danny Dean 3-1 in the final. In the semis, Adam had defeated James Sykes ( Morley Cons) 3-1, Danny Dean overcame Dave Boyes (Gildersome Cons) by the same score in the other semi.
The Plate competition was won by Phil Buckle who defeated New Middleton clubmate Steve Gale 3-2 in a close fought final.
Thanks again to the NSC for use of the facilities and to Mark King for officiating.
