Bramley Band A won the 3 Man KO 4-0 with ease over Garforth WMC A last night at Belle Isle WMC.
Ethan Robertson (40) v Andy Davis (34) & Rob Clynes (21) v Dave Goodhall (21) starting the proceedings off. It was Bramley Band’s No2 stealing the initial headlines, taking the first frame comfortably with some excellent potting and breaks of 23 & 30 to put Bramley 1 - 0 up (97 – 43)
On the other table it was a more scrappy affair, but when young Robertson cleared the last 3 colours in style to win on the black it was advantage Bramley Band 2 – 0 (83 – 77)
Now the No1’s players of Wayne Dockerty (18) from Bramley taking on Dave Elmy (4) from Garforth it was simply a must win for the Garforth player. With chances going begging for both players, it was eventually Dockerty taking the frame to put Bramley 3 – 0 ahead (77 – 43)
So back to the baize were the No3’s of Robertson against Davis, and again it was the young potter from Bramley taking the advantage and putting the match to bed winning comfortably to seal the match and title 4 – 0 (110 – 65)
Thanks to Ken Symons and Andy Kitson for officiating and for Belle Isle for hosting the final.
Just a reminder that will the final of the 3 Man KO will take place tomorrow (14th) at Belle Isle WMC between Bramley Band A and Garforth WMC A.

Northern Snooker Centre’s Daniel Womersley eased to victory against Stephen Broadhead from Edmond House in the Leeds City Championships Singles final last night at NSC.
In a pretty much one-sided match it was evident in the very first frame Womersley allowing his opponent only two shots with breaks of 59 and 55 to lead 1-0 (114 – 0)
The second frame didn’t start quite as exciting, Womersley breaking down on 23 and allowing Broadhead to find his way into the match, although Broadhead had a number of chances early on he didn’t extend his lead enough and he was left to rue those missed chances as when Dan laid a snooker with the last 4 colours remaining, even when Broadhead escaped, Dan cleared to lead 2 – 0 (72 – 56)
The third frame again went the way of the in form Womersley with a break of 62 to lead 3 – 0 at the interval (78 – 0)
Fourth frame and it was Broadhead out of the blocks first and on the attack. Putting together a series of mini breaks to comfortably win the frame and reduce the deficit 1 - 3 (18 – 61)
Fifth frame and what turned out to be the final frame. Again, Womersley in the balls first and was looking good until missing a simple blue on 48. Broadhead however let Dan straight back in and another 30+ break meant the hands were shaken and the title went the way of the NSC player.
Congratulations to Daniel Womersley!!
Thanks to Michael Davenport for officiating and to Andy Kitson for scoring.
Thanks also to NSC for hosting the final and use of the match table.
Gyles Behbood overcame the defending champion Richard Binns 4-3 to lift the Len Lee Invitational Trophy in an entertaining final last night.
The first two frames went in the favour of Binns who was out of the traps early with breaks of 43, & 31 to ease into a 2-0 lead against an out of sorts Behbood. (69 – 33) (66 – 33)
Gyles then found an extra couple of gears and levelled the match 2-2 with breaks of 71, 50 and 41
(0 – 91) (0 – 101)
Binns then gained the upperhand in the next frame with a 53 break to lead the match 3-2 (67 – 10)
Back came Gyles in the next frame and when Binns broke down on 16, up stepped the Menstone man with another 50-break contribution to level the match 3-3 (38 – 63)
So onto the decider and both players squandering chances early in the frame, in now was Gyles but surprisingly breaking down on 32, he then laid a very good snooker to which Binns escaped, albeit left the remaining balls for Gyles to clear and claim the title.
Thanks to Andy Kitson for officiating and to NSC for use of the match table.
We have the following finals /events taking place next week.
Monday 5th - Len Lee Invitation Final; Gyles Behbood v Richard Binns
Wednesday 7th - Leeds City Championship Singles Final; Dan Womersley v Ste Broadhead, followed by the presentation of all the Leeds City Championship competitions.
Friday 9th - Yorkshire Singles Final; Dan Womersley v Liam Pullen.

Tinshill and Cookridge "C" defeated Belle Isle WMC "D" 5-4 in tonight's C of C final.
The first 4 frames were shared. Tinshill's Tony Booth (19), drawing with Belle Isles' Malcolm Timblin (39) 48-86, 93-67, and Joel Smith (19) sharing the frames with Paul Whittaker (18) 72-64, 35-71.
Tinshill then went 4-2 up before being pegged back to 4-4. Mike Lacey (10) 61-36, 57-59 v Scott Morgan (14), and Josh Armstrong (-3) 70-35,37-69 v Joe Crossthwaite (-9).
So it was left to Josh and Joe to play the decider and it was nip and tuck before Joe was unlucky in knocking the blue in the centre pocket when playing a safety shot. Josh stepped up and potted Green, Brown and Blue putting himself 17 in front with just Pink and Black left, and when Joe inadvertently potted the Pink in attempting a snooker it was all over. (60-49).
Many thanks to Farsley Cons for hosting the final and to referees Michael Davenport and Andy Kitson.
