The major handicap review is now complete please click on handicaps from the drop down menu to view.
New handicaps must be used from now, in any handicapped competitions and in the league from the restart after the festive break.
The major handicap review for this season will take place over the next few days.
If your handicap changes and you have a competition match arranged prior to the league matches commencing on the 5th/6th January 2022 you must play off your new handicap.
The criteria for the major handicap review will be to adjust anyone on +4/-4 frames or better/worse regardless of their win/loss frame average score.
The handicap changes will be different to the usual adjustment as most of the adjusted players will not have attained +/- of 25 which triggers off an additional adjustment.
Please keep checking the website over the next few days to see if your handicap has been changed I will email all captains once the review is completed.
Paul Grimes LBSO League Secretary.
To all players when scoring please ensure that the players handicaps are put onto the scoreboard before the frame starts.
Not just the points difference.
When scores are checked by myself players must have had their handicaps put onto the scoreboard and the correct scores recorded onto the website, there has been scores entered where a player has not scored his alloted handicap which then causes me to enquire with the relevant teams as to why.
Below is the rule which states the players handicap must be put onto the scoreboard.
Each player will play two separate frames consecutively. Individual handicaps will go on the board at the start of each frame for each player, (not the difference between the handicaps);

Update - Sunday 12th Dec - 1300:
Since posting the original message last Friday (10th December), many competition ties have taken place in clubs across many areas of Leeds, WITHOUT ANY reports of face-coverings being required.
WHILST THINGS REMAIN THE SAME IN THIS REGARD, THEN PLAY CAN CONTINUE (LEAGUE & COMPETITIONS).
Bob Patterson - On behalf of the Management Committee.
A reminder that the preliminary round closing date for both the Len Lee Pairs and Sykes Cup Competitions is this coming Sunday (12th December)
For those matches where a result has not been received, then unless an extension has been granted by the competition secretary, then the rules state that the away player/team will go through by default.
