A quick final reminder, the funeral of Rodney Sims will take place at Cottingley at 12-20 tomorrow - Tuesday 28th November.
Anyone who then wishes to attend Morley Conservative Club afterwards for drinks, are quite welcome to do so.
A funeral wreath will be provided for the service, by and on behalf of everybody associated with the LBSO.
The wreath will go only part way, to acknowledge and thank Rodney for the many years he was associated with the LBSO, both as a billiard player predominantly, but also as a member of the committee and in varying roles.
A few facts about Rodney-
• As a billiard player (in the Leeds league) he first registered in the 1978/79 season for West Hunslet Cons.
• He transferred to Morley Cons the first time they registered in the league for the 1982/83 season.
• He has played there ever since of course.
Regards the committee,
>Rodney first shows up as chairman for the 1988/89 season.
> He changed to General Secretary / Treasurer for the 1993/94 season.
>For 2009/10, Rodney reverted back to chairman.
>For 2015/16, Rodney stood down as chairman for Andy Taffinder and became Vice-Chairman.
>He was still Vice-Chairman this season.
Our thoughts are with his wife and all his other family at this difficult time.
