This weeks handicap review is now complete click on handicaps from the drop down menu to view.
New handicaps come into force from Monday 2nd October.

Some players are now into their second adjustment of the season to prevent these players handicaps going back to their first adjustment i try to find some "middle ground" to even out their handicaps so although in some cases the reccomended adjustment would take them back to their previous handicap i try to avoid this as we want players handicaps to remain as constant as possible.

27 Sep 2017**BALLS!! - WHITE CUE BALLS**

The issue of SMALL and /or LIGHT cue balls has once again been brought to our attention this season already!
Just like any other snooker rules on 'fouls' for instance, the WPBSA has rules about BALLS - reds, colours & the WHITE CUE BALL!
The WPBSA rules say, ALL balls should of the SAME DIAMETER (52.5mm / 2 & 1/16") & of EQUAL WEIGHT.
(There are in fact miniscule tolerances in both respects, but nothing which would be noticeable!).
The CUE BALL wears away naturally over time, given it travels further than any other in a set of balls, but not to the extent that you see some!
Weight is also an issue with some light cue balls, to such an extent you wonder where they have come from?
There are some slightly smaller 2" balls from smaller / 3/4 size tables knocking about!
POOL CUE BALLS!! - if there are any being used, are TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
CAN ALL CLUBS PLEASE CHECK THEIR CUE BALLS PARTICULARLY!
The LBSO does NOT expect teams to provide a new set of snooker balls every year, BUT THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT HAVING CUE BALLS OF THE CORRECT SIZE & WEIGHT.
Local suppliers stock 2 & 1/16" snooker cue balls for just over a tenner!
PLEASE CHECK & REPLACE IF NECESSARY!
Thanks on behalf of the Committee.
